To go with the specs in the last few posts, I will add a real life experience with this post as I own one of these motherboards. I can’t see anywhere in Windows that it says “USB 2. The only reference to USB 2. Already have an account? You have to understand that the CPU isn’t the only component using the memory bandwidth. Check the Asus website and see if they have drivers for USB 2. To start, the price wasn’t quite what I was looking for in terms of cost, but there are many good features this motherboard has implemented in the deluxe version.

If the Ram permits, running aggressive timings will result in a performance increase. The drivers are included in the nForce Drivers so no extra install necessary.

Last edited by SkyDog; at What else does it say under USB? Spread your USB devices across the different controllers. Make sure to check your USB cables which are often overlooked when a problem occurs. I have installed latest drivers from Asus ver 2.
Yet no one else seems to have a problem. I had heard that they are hogs when it comes to CPU utilization. For the nVnet NIC: I’m trying to find out if I’m actually supposed to see “2.

There are also a few things I don’t quite like about this board. Anyways, feel free to bump it once in a while if necessary. Just as for the source rpm, you need to have your kernel sources installed for this technique to work.

I can’t see anywhere in Windows that it says “USB 2. Enable the 3Com from the BIOS before installing Windows as enabling it later seems to bring more problems than anything. This table is taken from Hardware. These drivers should be installed on-top a7n8s a successfull nForce driver install. The speach is on but the onboard sound is disabled.
Otherwise no USB would’ve functioned, right?
ub If it doesn’t work, try flipping around the PC speaker connector, you might’ve connected it wrong. I just tried to use a usb 2. You just need the following files in the root of the floppy: Your name or email address: Here’s how to go around this problem.
Last edited by vrungel; at Fan connectors are an issue too. When you hook up speakers to the onboard sound card, it will use them for the Speech Reporter but I do not know if it is capable of using speakers hooked up to another sound card for the same functions I doubt it.

The time now is Ram This board is very picky when it comes to Ram. Uab your LAN does not support Gigabit speeds, it will not make much of a difference. Although you can get it to work with some generic Ram, it’s not advised.
